Laboratory Values, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, & Vital Signs
The purpose of this document is to provide standardized values for nursing related to laboratory values,
therapeutic drug monitoring, and vital signs. Variation in these values often exists between reputable medical
references. The values listed in this document have been agreed upon and approved by the Curriculum
Council to serve as the official ranges for Galen College of Nursing for student instruction and examination to
ensure safety and consistency.
