digestion and an example of where they occur.

Digestion can be defined as a process whereby significantly large, insoluble biological molecules in
food such as carbohydrates, fats and protein are broken down into smaller molecules that can
dissolve across the cell membrane into the bloodstream and delivered to the cell in the body where
needed. digestion involves 2 separate processes: mechanical digestion and chemical digestion.
