Semiconductor Materials and Growth: Diamond

Generally, Diamond is considered as high-power device applications ultimate

semiconductor. The element was known at least for 200 years among device engineers because

of its unique properties. Focusing on the history of this element identified as carbon during the

1970s and synthesized back in 1954 (Isberg, Ferro & Siffert, 2010). This is contributed by the

difficult properties that define this element and its okay and scarcity as a natural resource. Its

availability characteristics such as the diamond being considered a grit or a stone. Over the years,

researchers have identified that this element is more stable than any other elements, thus the

hardship in its properties. Diamond's Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) was considered the

most technical and popular understanding and establishment because it synthesised viable

commercial methods. General Electric Company reported a reproducible synthesis among its

artificial properties through high temperatures and pressure in 1955. During this time, the

element was a synthesis of Eversole in 1962 (Isberg, Ferro & Siffert, 2010).

The usage of the element evolved over the years to articulate the gaseous precursors

characteristic because of its introduction into a solid and a reactor d posited into a hot substance

due to chemical reactions among these precursors (Satoshi et al., 2018). Chemical Vapor

Deposition in its atomistic process through which it grows molecule by molecule. Over the entire

time through its evolutionary history, Diamond has been associated with high-quality life among

the most fortunate population in society. This is mainly contributed by its hardness and shiny

characters that differentiate it from all other elements. Diamond evolved to increase the value of

jewellery, most specifically among women and other interested population globally (Satoshi et

al., 2018). It is regarded as a luxurious element because of the value that has been attached to it

and the corresponding impacts on businesses and other alternative interested parties. Therefore,
