In contemporary society, elderly care has been one of the most intriguing issues both
physically and mentally in the whole globe. Aged citizens experience various conditions that
require maximum attention to prevent possibilities of developing mental problems. Based on the
experiences that the older people have been facing, it places them as recipient factors and,
therefore, in dire need of primary caregivers (Toussant & Kohia, 2015). This aspect prevents
multiple cognitive deteriorations, physical impairments, and behavioral problems associated with
prior experiences during the early ages. Caregivers represent a crucial source of hope for
maintaining and controlling aged citizens from these predicaments. Studies have shown that the
older population responds more positively when taken care of by close family members than the
professional caregivers (Toussant & Kohia, 2015). This is mainly supported by the arguments
that have been proposed by various scholars, which lies the foundation for this literature review.
Therefore, the primary purpose of this paper is to explore the scholarly literature that addresses
the positive effects of elderly care.

According to Boland et al. (2017), older people have different needs imperative to their
health and general wellbeing. An environment that accommodates these populations has to be
critically personalized to improve the understanding of an individual according to their nature.
Environmental influence highlights their usual functionality, which has direct implications on
