● Fundus- Firm, at the umbilical area
● Endometritus
● 100.4 F normal for 1st 24 hrs
● WBC’s
● Increase in HR - Message the Fundus
● Increase in BP - Preeclampsia
● Urine output 30cc per hr
● More babies = more risk for hemorrhage
● Diaphoresis - to regulate Blood volume
- FEED BABY -
● Breastfeeding = every 2-3 hrs
● Pump every 2-3 hours
● Wide open - hin part of the areola, round cheeks = when baby latches on
breast
● Don’t give a pacifier till breast feeding is established!!
● Formula - feed every 3-4 hrs
● Mastitis: redness, fever - tx with antibiotics, pain meds, continue breastfeeding
● **Know the difference between Mastitis & endometriosis**
