regulate funeral homes, embalming facilities, and crematory facilities located at
cemeteries
What are the qualifications to get a license? - Answers - - 18yrs of age

- Bachelor's degree
- 12mo mort sci program
- 1yr apprenticeship and embalm 25 bodies/direct 25 funerals*
- Completed examination for license
* A FD may substitute 2yr apprenticeship and 50 funerals instead of college
How to reinstate an inactive license? - Answers - May not return to active status for 2
years. Must complete the following to return:
- File with board
- pass OH laws examination for each license
- $140 reactivation fee

- Completed crematory operation certification program
- CCOs who are actually in charge of the facility do not have to be licensed
