What level of protection must the Decon Team wear? - ANS✔✔ Decon Team dons chemical
protective clothing. Level C dress is the minimum standard of protective clothing for Decon
personnel in the CRZ or Decon area.

What are some of the guidelines for emergency decontamination of contaminated individuals? -
ANS✔✔ 1) Additional Decon Area for the victim(s) These pools will be placed near the first
pools. It will be used for victims only.



2) Open web Stokes stretcher with straps to secure the victim.



3) Place two empty buckets on either side of pool. These will be used to place the Stokes
stretcher with the victim for decontamination.



4) The Entry Team will do a primary cleaning and establish the airway of the victim in the
Exclusion Zone.



5) The Entry Team will place the stretcher on the two buckets allowing the decon team to
thoroughly clean the victim. All clothing will be removed.



6) After the victim is cleaned, the Decon team will transfer the patient to a clean stretcher for
medical evaluation.
