American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) - ANSWER Consists of three
major goals; create jobs, spur economic activity and invest in long-term growth, and support
accountability and transparency in recovery spending.

ments that make it legal and appropriate to release information.

Centers For Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) - ANSWER Federal agency charged
with administration of the Medicare and Medicaid programs, as well as the Children's Health
Insurance Program; operating division for the Department of Health and Human Services
(HHS).
Certification Commissions for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) - ANSWER Estab-
lished to evaluate and approve EHR and EMR systems; to participate in incentive programs
for EHR adoption and use, facilities must use a certified EHR or EMR product.
