NC BLET Orientation
ADDITIONAL POLICIES/RULES - ANS-The application director can set guidelines on
attendance and excused vs. Unexcused absences, tardies and private conduct or get dressed
code (i.E. Greater than 6 unexcused tardies = on the spot dismissal).
Attendance - ANS-- attendance to ALL periods required
- In NO case may also excused absences exceed 5% general hrs
- Any absence must be made-up by means of remaining day

BOTH COMMISSIONS' REQ FOR CERT - ANS-- appointment packet submitted to Standards
Division before 1 12 months has elapsed since crowning glory of kingdom examination
- Sheriff's deputies have 1 12 months from issuance of probationary certification wherein to
complete commission-permitted BLET
- Certification Prerequisites Form
- Completion of F-three non-public history declaration
- Both Commissions require applicants to list offenses they "devoted" or were convicted of or
ever charged with and any arrests.
- Both Commissions require licensed LE officers to re-qualify annually with assigned and
licensed firearms.
- Both Commissions require 24 hrs of annual in-carrier schooling.
- Failure to fulfill those necessities can bring about suspension of certification
- With exception of adlescent visitors offenses, both Commissions require officials to record
offenses for which officer is charged, arrested, pleads no contest to, pleads guilty to or is
discovered responsible of ...* Sherrif's rules also require a notification of Domestic Violence
