Introduction
Grady Turner is an 18-month-old male presenting with a 3-day history of progressively worsening cough,
characterized as dry and intermittently barky, and associated with low-grade fever and rhinorrhea. Symptoms are
reported to be more pronounced at night and accompanied by mild decreased oral intake and activity level. The
patient attends daycare and has had recent exposure to sick contacts. He is otherwise healthy, with no significant
past medical history and up-to-date immunizations. The clinical presentation is suggestive of an acute viral upper
airway process, with findings most consistent with croup
