- Een vraagfunctie geeft het verband tussen de prijs van een product en de vraag naar
dat product ervan uitgaande dat alle factoren die van invloed zijn op de vraag niet
veranderen (constant blijven) → ceteris paribus voorwaarde

Qv = de collectieve vraag naar het product
P = prijs van het product


Wat bepaalt de vraag naar een product?
- Prijs van het product
- Prijs van andere producten
- Inkomen van consument
- Behoeften van de consument
- Het aantal consumenten (bepaalt de vraag van alle
consumenten, de collectieve vraag, → Qv)

VRAAGLIJN
Een negatief verband tussen de prijs van een product en de vraag naar
het product
- Hoge prijs is lage vraag
- Lage prijs is hoge vraag

Verschuiving langs/over de vraaglijn
Dit komt doordat:
- De prijs van het product verandert
- Gevraagde hoeveelheid verandert

Verschuiving van de vraaglijn
De vraaglijn verschuift als één van de andere factoren verandert:
- Prijs van andere producten
- Inkomen van de consument
- Behoeften van de consument
- Het aantal consumenten
- (Maar ook door bijv. succesvolle reclamespot)


Betalingsbereidheid: de maximale prijs die een consument wil betalen voor
een product
Consumentensurplus: verschil tussen collectieve vraaglijn en de marktprijs
