CHEMISCHE GESCHIEDENIS VAN DE TANDHEELKUNDE

1900: chemische industrie op gang zonder dat men wist hoe atomen & moleculen eruit zagen
1925: Schrödinger = waarschijnlijkheid dat elektronen zich op bepaalde plaats rond kern bevinden,
beschreven aan de hand van golffuncties
VANAF TOEN snelle ontwikkeling van chemische industrie -> chemische onderzoek -> chemisch inzicht
-> snel nieuwe ontwikkelingen




Effect op de tandheelkunde: veranderd gebruik van materialenklassen (zie grafiek)

➔ Dip = moment dat we structuur van atomen wisten
➔ Type materiaal op het einde (bv. Kunststoffen) eig. ook belangrijk in het begin (bv. Natuurlijke
polymeren)

Golffuncties & golfvergelijkingen

1925 Schrödinger: grondslag kwantummechanica

- H-atoom bestaat uit negatief geladen elektron dat zich beweegt in aantrekkingsveld van
proton
- Deze beweging is beschreven door golffunctie die een oplossing is van golfvergelijking
(zoals bv. een sinusfunctie)
