, Evaluation of my role and contribution
As a member of the Big Dream Gaming team, I have actively participated in the assessment of the
feasibility of the ESports event. Our team acknowledges the existing expertise in project
management but acknowledges a gap in ESports knowledge. I have been involved in strategizing to
compensate for this gap by planning the project carefully to ensure success. I have also contributed
ideas for hands-on sessions, including virtual reality gaming experiences, ESports trivia, game
development challenges, and an ESports Rocket League competition. These activities aim to engage
and educate attendees while providing entertainment. Additionally, I participated in identifying and
securing key speakers for the event, each with a specific focus on the evolution, technology, and
future of ESports. The breakdown of their presentations and Q&A sessions was discussed
collaboratively. I have also participated in planning the stalls, suggesting diverse options such as
virtual reality gaming, ESports trivia, game development challenges, merchandise, betting, food, and
beverages. The aim is to create a well-rounded experience for attendees and generate additional
income. I proposed the development of a website for event promotion, including schedule details,
speaker bios, session descriptions, ESports competition info, and live streaming options. This
platform serves as a valuable tool for outreach and engagement. Lastly, I have actively participated
in identifying potential risks and implementing contingency plans, such as equipment checks, hiring
bodyguards and medical professionals, backup sponsors, handling team attendance issues, preparing
for technical difficulties, and addressing key speaker cancellations.
Interpersonal Skills and Effectiveness in a team
The team has demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and an effective application of these skills in
the design of the conference pack. Effective communication within the team has been crucial. I have
ensured that ideas, concerns, and suggestions are clearly communicated, fostering a collaborative
environment. The teamwork nature of our team has been essential. We have worked together to
share our skills and knowledge, resulting in a well-thought-out conference pack. Additionally, the
introduction of the "6 Thinking Hats" methodology is a positive aspect, highlighting a commitment to
structured problem-solving. This methodology can lead to well-informed decisions. The
acknowledgment of potential challenges and the development of contingency plans reflects a
proactive approach to adaptability. This ensures preparedness for unforeseen circumstances. While
leadership roles may not be explicitly outlined, there has been a collective effort to guide the team
toward a successful event. Each member, including myself, has assumed leadership in their
