a) Hermeneutics and B Truth

historical, cultural, and social contexts. In other words, hermeneutics
emphasises that truth is not absolute or purely objective, but is
constructed through interpretation and understanding.

The concept of B truth (often contrasted with A truth, or absolute truth)
aligns with hermeneutical thinking. B truth refers to truth as relational,
contextual, and dynamic, rather than fixed and universal. It
acknowledges that individuals’ perceptions, experiences, and
backgrounds influence what they consider to be “true.” From this
perspective, truth is dialogical: it emerges through engagement,
reflection, and discourse rather than being imposed externally.

For example, in governance or public policy, B truth allows
policymakers and citizens to recognise multiple perspectives when
interpreting laws, historical events, or social issues. This approach
