get in. Therefore, admission counselors look to see if students took above minimum high school
requirements. Including grades made in AP and Honors courses. Students that are accepted are
often though of as overachievers in their school or community. Students will need teacher
recommendations and good test scores to get a chance to get in. Essays can also play a part in
admission.
Highly Selective
, Similar to selective schools except they have a lower acceptance rate. These schools look at
your application and decide if they need someone like you. Gaining admission to highly
selective schools is kind of the luck of the draw.
