We are injecting a radiotracer that is specially designed to go to your bones

the radiotracers have no side effects.
Allergic reactions to radiotracers are extremely rare and usually mild.

we will then give you a scan which will take around 20 minutes. then you're free to leave
for 2-4 hours while sufficient amount of the radiotracer has accumulated in the bones.

you'll need to lie on the bed very still with your arms by your side and feet pigeon toes.
You'll have to lie very still so we get the best pictures possible and get the scan done as
quick as possible. the camera will be quite close to your face. The bed will move very
slowly as the gamma camera takes pictures of the all the bones in the patient's body,
usually taking around 20 minutes for a bone scan.

When all the necessary pictures have been acquired you'll be free to leave.
