These notes begin with Jefferson becoming president right after John Adams. It includes the Louisiana purchase, War of 1812, expansion towards the west, Monroe Doctrine, Bank War, slavery for both blacks and whites, and then all the way to the Mexican-American War over Texas.

These notes cover what led up to the Revolutionary war, the war itself and then the aftermath of it. It covers the the articles of confederation to the constituion and then ends with John Adams becoming president.

Period 2 starts off with notes about the Protestant Reformation, then covers information about the colonies, George Washington, the French and Indian war and then the aftermath of that war.

For those taking AP U.S. History, I have provided period 1 notes from the textbook. These notes cover exploration into the New World with the spanish conquistadores and colonization. You can read the other notes that I've posted that are longer with more information about other areas in history.
