This paper will critique the survey by Joanna Pepin and David Cotter, both of the Council of Contemporary Families, reported by the New York Times on 31st March 2017 on an article title “Do Millennial Men Want Stay-at-Home Wives” by Stephanie Coontz. The survey’s objective was to find out whether the number of millennials, defined as people born between 1982 and 2000, supporting egalitarian family arrangements had increased or decreased over a period of 40 years.
