Lipoprotein is a biochemical assembly. Primary function is to transport hydrophobic lipid (also known as fat) molecules in water, plasma . They consist of a triglyceride and cholesterol ester. They surrounded by a phospholipid outer side with the hydrophilic portions. Function 1.Lipoproteins are lipid transport molecules 2.Specific lipoproteins are risk factors for cardiovascular disease and other metabolic diseases. 3.HDL maintain cholesterol level and decrease chances of disease.
