In the commercial view point, examples of data mining are in vitro fertilization and customer attrition. The problem of vitro fertilization is to select embryos that will survive where as customer attrition is concerned with finding out the customers most likely to terminate a service. On scientific view point, examples of data mining include telescope scanning on the sky and a remote sensor on a safelight .
