Wat zijn stressors?

Stimuli die stress veroorzaken. Vaak wordt stress door meerdere stressors tegelijk veroorzaakt. Stress representeert een chronische verstoring in fysiologische homeostase. Of een potentiële stessor een echte stressor wordt hangt af van: -capaciteit om moment stressor te voorspellen - mogelijkheden tot actie - reactie op potentiële stressor en uitkomst

Wat is de functie van het immuunsysteem en uit welke soorten cellen bestaat dit?

Cellen die het lichaam beschermen tegen indringers. Wanneer het te zwak is kunnen indringers zonder moeite veel schade aanrichten. Als het te sterk is gaat het eigen lichaamscellen aanvallen --> autoimmune system Immuunsysteem bestaat uit miljoenen cellen genaamd LEUKOCYTEN (witte bloedcellen). De belangrijkste soort zijn lymphocytes, welke zich delen an aanvallen als er ee nidnringer is. Tijdens een aanval worden chemicaliën genaamd cytokines afgegeven door de cellen van het immuunsysteem. Lymfocyten worden geactiveerd door fagocyten, welke virussen en cytokines vrijlaten in het systeem.

Wat is de tweedeling in het immuunsysteem?

- innate immune system: eerste verdedigingslinie. Valt ziekteverwekkers (pathogenen) aan bij de ingangen van het lichaam. (algemeen) - adaptive immune system: komt in actie als het IIS faalt. Het bindt aan antigenen van onbekende cellen en vernietigd ze of markeert ze, zodat andere cellen ze kunne nvernietigen.
