The content included in these notes is all you need to know for your matric year, and partially grade 11. Throughout my High School academic career, I only ever received above 85% for theoretical art. These notes, therefore, offer an excessive amount of knowledge to equip you for your exams, trials, and final assessments of Matric.

This is a summary of the IEB matric syllabus of Visual Arts. Visual Analysis containing elements of art and principles of design. Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Conceptual Art, South African Resistance Art and South African Contemporary Art. Artists as well as their artworks given for each movement as well as a visual analysis.
