According to Holmes, A. and Dean, S. (2019), a normal distribution is a bell-shaped, 
symmetrical, unimodal, the mean and median are equal, and 68% of the data falls 
within 1 standard deviation. The mean is location of the line of symmetry and the 
standard deviation is the spread of the data. Two variables that I work with daily are 
height and weight. I use these in my state required assessments for medical necessity 
level of care.
