Equivalent aan Bayley scale. Door middel van een kwantitatieve schaal met ontwikkeling score (D-score - sensible vergelijkingen zowel binnen (within) als tussen (across) leeftijd. Meten age passende items en items van de volgende age-group. Linked design - calculeren over gehele dataset, vergelijken age-groups.
1. Gebruikt om de ontwikkeling van kinderen vanaf de geboorte te volgen tot vier jaar oud. Vroege ontwikkeling van spasticiteit.
2. 57 items/ontwikkelingsindicatoren verdeeld over sets, targeted at schilderen of a certain age (geslaagd/geslaagd). Zo gekozen dan 90 procent van de kinderen slaagt.
3. Monitoren normale ontwikkeling en snelle detectie van mogelijke afwijkingen (maar 1 fail niet voldoende).
4. Eerder een monitor dan screening instrument.
5. Alle fails kunnen specifiek worden gelokaliseerd aan een specifieke ontwikkeling.

Rasch model (past goed - 57 procent pass) op longitudinal data set zorgt voor shift van kwalitatieve observaties naar kwantitatieve metingen (D-score). Verhoogt vergelijkbaarheid. Gebruik Rasch Model zorgt voor aanpassen alle 3 de tekortkomingen van Bayley schaal. Dus nieuwe D-score:
1. Niet relatief aan populatie of normgroep.
2. De geschatte score kan vergeleken worden met elke andere persoon.
3. De progressie van een kind kan worden gemeten in termen van verschilscores tussen sessies.
