Wat is Family Centered Care (FCC) en Family Integrated Care (FIC)?

Bij FCC is de familie de kern van de gezondheid. Naast lichamelijke zorg, staat ook sociale & psychische zorg centraal. Bij FCC ligt de verantwoordelijkheid en regie bij het gezin. De verpleegkundige heeft hierin een coachende rol. De familie wordt geïntegreerd in het zorgteam. FIC is een uitbreiding van FCC. FIC wil partnerschap en samenwerking tussen ouders en personeel verhogen. Dit wordt gedaan door de ouders echt bij de zorg te betrekken. FIC verlaagt stress --> minder ziekenhuisinfecties, groei zuigelingen en de patiëntveiligheid wordt verbeterd.

Hoe wordt heupdysplasie behandeld?

Eerst met de Pavlik-bandage (tot 6/7 maanden). Als dit onvoldoende werkt, dan een tractiebehandeling.

Wat zijn de (psychische) gevolgen van scoliose?

- Beperkt de werking van de longen --> kortademigheid - Vermoeidheid - Pijn - Onzekerheid over hoe de rug eruit ziet - Belemmert worden in het dagelijks leven door pijn en/of vermoeidheid verhoogd risico op depressie en angst.
