What was the main idea of the article, "Data Gaps and ZIMS" and what does
it mean for you as a zookeeper? - ANSWERThe main idea was discussing the
need to conduct research on certain species in order to help conservation
efforts. It also mainly talked about comparing animals of closely related
species in order to gain more information and fill those gaps we still have
today. There is a surprisingly large amount of data missing even today which
was a big surprise to me and this article was raising awareness to that fact.
This is important to me as a future zookeeper so that I am diligent in keeping
records especially on these species with lots of data gaps and to also raise
money to conduct more research on species in the wild that we don't have a
lot of information about.
