Definitie sociale psychologie
De wetenschappelijke studie van de manier waarop de gedachten,
gevoelens en gedragingen van mensen worden beïnvloed door de
werkelijke of voorgestelde aanwezigheid van andere mensen
- Wetenschappelijk onderzoek is onderzoek dat strikt volgens de
methodologische regels voor onderzoek die binnen dat vakgebied
gelden is uitgevoerd
- De wetenschappelijke methode is een systematische manier om
kennis te vergaren
- Bij sociale psychologie worden aannames en concepten
wetenschappelijk getest

Gedachten, gevoelens en gedragingen
- Gedrag: bestudeert vaak d.m.v. observaties
- Gevoelens en gedachten hebben veel invloed op het zichtbare gedrag
- Gevoelens en gedachten worden bestudeerd vaak d.m.v. vragenlijsten
