She attends school each day and comes home after school. In the
summer, she spends lots of time playing with friends and going to
the pool.
Areas of Concern
22 seconds
What are your concerns?
Kelly is struggling in school. Reading and math are her most
difficult subjects. Kelly has difficulty learning to sound out words,
and she relies on her memory, which makes it difficult for her
when reading and doing math problems. She loses interest quickly
when she does not understand material.
27 seconds
In what areas does Kelly seem to be affected most?
Reading and math are her most difficult subjects.
30 seconds
Has anyone else expressed concerns about Kelly struggling in
school?
In kindergarten, her teacher was not concerned because Kelly was
the youngest student in the class since she turned 5 years old the
week she started kindergarten. In first grade, her teacher wasn't
very concerned either until the end of the school year when she
was still struggling. She started to get extra help at school but is
still struggling. Now I am even more concerned that there really is
a problem.
