⫸ Designees. Ans: person who's earned CPCU designation,
regardless of whether he/she has officially become a CPCU (waiting
for conferment may also be referred to as CPCUs)
⫸ CPCUs. Ans: person who currently holds the CPCU designation
⫸ Canons. Ans: broad aspirational goals of CPCU conduct, establish
standards of professional conduct. They also express the general
concepts and principles from which the more specific Rules are
derived.

minimum levels of required professional CPCU conduct, mandatory

facts to BEI for consideration & communicates BEI recommendations
to Ethics Policy committee of board of trustees of american institute
for CPCU & delivers verdicts
⫸ Ethics Policy Committee. Ans: committee of the board of trustees
of the american institute that reviews matters of policy relating to
american institute ethics activities & promulgates specific disciplinary
procedures & penalties to be used in enforcing code.
