(a) Nadelen van embedded systemen

• Beperkte verwerkingskracht → kunnen geen complexe toepassingen draaien.
• Weinig geheugen → beperkte updates/functioneel bereik.
• Moeilijk te upgraden of repareren.

(b) Voordeel van DRAM boven SRAM

• DRAM is goedkoper per GB → meer geheugen mogelijk.

(c) Verschillen EPROM en EEPROM

Verschil 1: EPROM wordt gewist met UV-licht, EEPROM elektrisch.
Verschil 2: EPROM moet uit het systeem worden verwijderd om te wissen, EEPROM niet.




Vraag 3: Von Neumann model

(a) Doel van registers

Program Counter (PC): bewaart adres van volgende instructie.
MAR: bevat adres van het geheugen dat wordt aangesproken.
MDR: bevat de data die van/naar geheugen gaat.
Index register (IX): bevat waarde voor geindexeerde adressering.


(b) Voordelen HDMI boven VGA

• HDMI is digitaal → geen signaalverlies.
• Ondersteunt hogere resoluties (zoals 2560×1600).
• Verstuurd audio mee.
• Scherper beeld, geen ruis.

(c) OS-procesbeheer taken

• Toewijzen van CPU-tijd.
• Creëren/verwijderen van processen.
• Context switching.
• Inter-process communication.
• Bescherming van processen tegen elkaar.
