1. You study a novels during the year
For example (last year):
1. The Handmaid’s Tale
2. The Theory of Flight
This year:
- Brave New World
- The White Tiger
2. You answer ONLY ONE question
You choose the question based on the novel you studied.
This year it will be similar:
- Q2 OR Q3 → Brave New World
- Q4 OR Q5 → The White Tiger
You DO NOT answer questions for both novels.
3. All Questions Are Essay Questions
Every question is:
- A 600-word literary essay
- On a topic statement based on themes, characters, relationships, or ending
- Requires close reference to the text
- Assesses your ability to build a focused, detailed argument
Every novel has two possible essay topics, but you write one.
For each novel:
- Question A → usually about the ending, themes, or ideas
- Question B → usually about characters and relationships
