Prada, Versace and Burberry. Burberry was created in 1856 by Thomas Burberry in
Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. Most famously known for their trench coats, the business
also produces ready-to-wear clothing, leather accessories, and footwear for men woman and
children. Currently, the business is based in London, England. The company distributes their
products to Burberry shops and authorized retailers around the world. In addition, their luxury
goods can be purchased directly from their website and other authorized online retail sites. To
keep their brand trending and reach new demographics, the company employs a variety of
marketing strategies including the use of digital media (The Brand Hooper, 2025).
Burberry’s digital marketing strategy includes social media engagement, digital storytelling,
mobile integration, and personalization. Burberry’s media presence is felt on platforms like
Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Whether creating stories using high quality images on
Burberry's Instagram feed for building anticipation around future events, to creating interactive
campaigns on TikTok which leverages influencers connectivity with Gen Z to reach a younger
audience, Burberry curates' content to leverage the functionality of each social media platform.
A great example is the highly successful campaign on TikTok challenging celebrities to brew
their perfect cup of tea wearing their iconic fashions. In addition, the company has integrated
digital technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) into their campaigns
on their website to create a sense of community. This was most effective in their “Art of the
Trench,” campaign which allowed users to upload photos to the site wearing their iconic trench
coat and showcase their personal style. Last, Burberry utilizes customer data to target customers
by personalizing content to individual customer preferences. Burberry has partnered with Apple
