Unit 20: Enterprise in IT Assignment 2

Introduction: In this assignment, I will show case a product and focus on developing a
marketing plan for it. My goal is to create a detailed strategy for an IT product or service,
using the marketing research. This will help to find different ways to promote the
product more effectively based on the user needs.

Select a product or service idea to market for an IT enterprise.
Identifying an IT product or service to create an enterprise
The product I want to turn into a business is Smart Glass with AI upgrades. This glass
will provide a new way to improve teaching, learning and improve on productivity. My
goal is to show how students, teachers and professionals can use this glass to make
their self-more productive in terms of doing their job easily. From next step, I will
explain how I plan to evaluate this idea.

Product or Service Assessment

The Smart Glass will offer many benefits for students, teachers and professionals. One
of the advantages of this glass is that it can help teachers to teach better way like
having features like real-time live translation, which helps them talk to students who
speak different languages. This will also help all students understand the lessons easier
way. The memory assistance feature can also help teachers plan their lessons, set
reminders, and keep track of student progress. The glass has a 12MP camera and video
recording so teachers can make educational videos for the student or save activates for
next lessons. Also same goes for the business professionals, they can record a
meeting, they can access their data through these glasses, they can browse the
internet etc, which will make their life easier while they are working.

The live AI assistance and real-time translation features make learning more
personalised for students. The open-ear speaker on the glass will allow the teachers,
professionals to get notifications without disturbing their workflow. The touch-sensitive
panel will make it easier for teachers to control these features without stopping the
lesson. The Smart Glass can help to solve common teaching problems, like managing
different types of students, organising lessons, and quickly finding teaching materials.

Sustainability Assessment

,A sustainability assessment will help the business to understand how their product will
make impact on the environment, society and the economy. It will ensures the product
is eco-friendly, ethically made and affordable for the customers.

The environmental impact of the smart glasses is important because it is an electronic
device it will contain parts like batteries and plastic, which can cause pollution and
waste. To reduce this the company should use recyclable materials for its build and
packaging. This glasses should have power saving mode so it can save energy when
needed. Also the company could open an recycling program where the customers can
return their old products to reduce waste.

Social responsibility is an another factor needs to be considered. Which ever company
will manufacture this glasses they need to make sure they give their workers a good
working condition, give them a fair wage and there should not be any child labour
should be used.

Economic sustainability is also necessary for long-term success. The company must
balance their production costs while making a profit. The company should use high-
quality material but the making it affordable at the same time. Battery and repair costs
should be low so customers can use the glasses for a long time. Also offering
warranties and repair services will also make the product more sustainable, reducing
the need to buy new glasses frequently.

Security Assessment

The Smart Glass will need to have strong security in the system to protect sensitive data
of the teachers, students and professionals information. The data between the glasses
and other devices, like smartphones or computers, must be encrypted to keep it safe.
Regular updates and security tests will make sure the product is safe from attacks.

Password protection will be used to protect the glasses and accessing features. On the
glass their one-time passwords can be useable like when the teacher tries to login it will
send an email one time pass code to their email so it can be used in the login process,
making it safer and easy to use. Teachers will be able to trust the Smart Glass with
important data like student grades and lesson plans.

Based on these standards, A smart glass can become an important tool for teachers,
making classrooms more effective while being safe and sustainable with the
technology. This product will have a potential to change to the education system by
using new technology in a helpful and efficient way.

Usability Assessment
The business need to ensure that the Smart Glasses have a user-friendly interface so
teachers and students can use the product more effective way like the buttons and

, features should be clear and simple to navigate. The websites and app should be easy
to understand and does not create confusion while using it. To improve the user
experience, I will use a technique called continuous integration. This technique will
help to make updates and changes through the software update quickly and safely, so
the Smart Glasses can make improvements over time, so the users feel to use it for long
time.

Financial Assessment
The financial assessment is about checking if the company selling the Smart Glasses
will be successful and profitable for them in the market. First, The business need to see
if people will want to buy or use the glasses. If there is no interest in the market, the
business will lose money. I believe the product will be successful because it offers
unique features and many teachers will want to use it. The product could bring in a lot
of revenue for the business because it would appeal to a large group of potential users.
However, the cost of developing the Smart Glasses may be high-end cost, which could
be a challenge to overcome for the business.

Potential Size of the Market
The market for Smart Glasses is large because it can be used in many different
educational places such as schools, colleges and in training centres. With many
potential users, the product has the chance to generate of making significant revenue
for the business. As the product will gains popularity, more customers would be
attracted to its features, which will help to create a large market.

Legal Assessment
When making and selling Smart Glasses, there are important legal things to think about.
The first is ownership. The company needs a clear contract with the developers to make
sure it owns all the rights to the software; weather is now and in the future. If the third-
party developers are hired to help, then a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is needed.
This stops them from using or sharing private information of the companies like their
plans, market research or testing data. This will protects the company’s privacy.

The second thing is licence and distribution agreements. These allow the product to be
sold on different platforms like the Amazon or eBay. The company must follow the rules
of these platforms, such as those about content, privacy and support. If the rules are
not followed, the Smart Glasses might be removed from their shop. To stop this, the
product should meet all the rules of the store before being launched.

The third legal factor is trademarks. A strong trademark helps the product stand out
from its competitors. Applying for a trademark can be not easy as it seems, so a lawyer
can help check if the name or logo is unique for the bsuiness. If the company wants to
