Les 2: slide 13

The approach: twee onderdelen

niveaus in:
Minimal risk: games, spamfilter (geen interventie), bv bot Kate v KBC
vervangen door avatar  require no EU intervention
transparantie), bv. scholen monitoren laptopgedrag  User needs to be informed
that it’s using AI, unless it’s obvious

High risk: school, transport, health, safety, law inforcment, bv. gezondheidsdata
in kluisjes  Must undergo: rigorous risk assessment, use high-quality datasets,
maintain activity logs, provide comprehensive documentation, ensure clear user
information & human oversight mesures

erop wijzen. En hierdoor mensen er mee leren omgaan.

HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW

The essence of the article "Welcome to the Experience Economy" is the
concept that economic progress has transitioned from the
production of goods to the delivery of services and now to the
staging of memorable experiences for consumers. The authors argue
that experiences are a distinct economic offering, separate from both
goods and services, and that businesses should focus on creating
engaging and immersive experiences to attract and retain customers.

In the 1990s, this shift in perspective towards the Experience Economy
was driven by several factors:

1. Changing Consumer Preferences: Consumers were seeking
more than just products or services; they wanted meaningful
and memorable experiences that would enrich their lives.
2. Increased Competition: With markets becoming saturated
with similar products and services, companies needed to
differentiate themselves by offering unique experiences to
stand out.
3. Advancements in Technology: The rise of technology
allowed for more personalized and interactive experiences,
leading businesses to explore new ways to engage with
customers.
4. Evolving Business Strategies: Companies realized that by
focusing on creating experiences, they could build stronger
emotional connections with customers, leading to increased
loyalty and advocacy.
By recognizing the value of experiences and understanding the shift in
consumer behavior, businesses in the 1990s began to rethink their
