2.1 Reflection on formative assessment
Reflection on learning in Assignment 01

correctly. At first, I found it difficult to apply the APA 7th referencing style, particularly
when citing journal articles and online sources. The feedback I received pointed out
that I needed to be more consistent with in-text referencing and to avoid direct
copying of phrases. I also struggled a bit with the structure of the literature review
and how to link the research problem to existing knowledge.
From the feedback, I learned how important it is to paraphrase properly and to
always reference my sources. I used the module’s lessons on academic integrity, the
referencing guidelines on myUnisa, and the online library to review correct
referencing techniques. I also re-read Topic Lesson 2 and Lesson 3, which helped
me improve my paraphrasing and avoid plagiarism.
Going forward, I will plan my writing better and double-check all references. I will
also use the Turnitin similarity report to identify and fix any unintentional copying.
This learning has made me more careful, and I now understand how to work ethically
and independently when writing academic work.
Reflection on learning in Assignment 02
In Assignment 02, I realised that I made some mistakes with questions involving
research designs, types of variables, and statistical tests. I found it difficult to tell the
difference between moderator, extraneous, and control variables, and I also
