The occipital lobes are also responsible for combining visual stimuli into meaningful

Serotonin
Serotonin is found in the brain, digestive tract and blood. Serotonin helps to regulate
the sleep-wake cycle and temperature. lt is also associated with seasonal depression,
a mood disorder that occurs in autumn and winter. Several types of antidepressants
obtain their effect through modulation of serotonin at synapses.
DA is associated with good mental health; however, an excess of dopamine is
believed to be associated with schizophrenia, a mental disorder characterised by
loss of contact with reality. DA is also involved in the control of motor behaviour.
Too little can result in muscle rigidity and tremor. For example, an insufficiency
of DA in the brain contributes to Parkinson's disease, a form of mental disorder
characterised by disturbances of movement and dementia.
