The chosen population is the Northern Congo, where the health challenge, malaria, is

highly prevalent. This is associated with a poor environment- poor drainage and care of the

surroundings, and a tropical climate, among other issues. The social, geographical, and systemic

inequities associated with these issues have also contributed to the high prevalence rates and the

disproportionate outcomes for pregnant women and children in the region. This region has high

contamination and infection rates of malaria, which pose significant risks for individuals

travelling to these regions. The inadequate healthcare facilities and lack of equipment in these

regions also pose high risks for the populations, especially foreigners. This report analyses the

risks associated with the planned intervention to address the highly prevalent malaria in the

region. This will include the individuals experiencing the high risk, the anticipated outcomes,

and the approaches to address the prevailing risks.

Occupational Health

There are various occupational health risks associated with the intervention, including

exposure to needle injuries due to diagnostic and medical administration processes. These are

high-risk occurrences and are highly likely to happen during the intervention. These risks carry

significant health issues, including contamination, infection, and life-threatening diseases.

Travelling to remote areas for the intervention also poses significant health issues for

individuals. These include snake bites, road accidents due to poor road infrastructure, and

violence in the regions where locals are not receptive to outsiders. These issues are moderate-risk

and are moderately likely to happen. However, they can be life-threatening and may lead to
