Business events could be defined as normal operations for the organization that reoccurs as a business
process which will help the organization in automating business practices.

organize an event, they introduce themselves to the market. They build relationship with various like-

different fields and help them explore new ways to expand their ideas. They meet people from different
departments and discuss different situations which, eventually, help them in long term.

Event Organizers are responsible for planning and coordinating events. Depending upon the company or
organization, the type and size of an event can vary dramatically. You may be involved with a large
annual event or you may organize smaller events within a museum. Event work is generally broken
down into three key areas: Marketing, Sales and Operations. These functions allow the life cycle of an
event to be covered in its entirety - from concept to delivery. Each function is very different.

Marketing – General activities include; market research, generating event interest, designing and
printing literature, creating promotional campaigns, public relations, developing event partnerships…

Sales – General activities include; selling event space and advertising opportunities to exhibitors, both
on the phone and face to face, organizing sponsorship deals…

Operations – General activities include; planning and coordinating the practicalities and logistics of an
event, negotiating and managing supplier contracts and relationships, onsite liaison with workers,
sponsors, exhibitors and visitors, dealing with health and safety issues…

need certain fundamental skills in order to succeed.
