Nursing Leadership - ANSWER Defined as the process where the nurse influences one or

Formal Leader - ANSWER This type of leader is appointed, elected or designated,
deliberately chosen by the administration and given authority to act.
Informal Leader - ANSWER This type of leader is chosen by his group, does not have
official sanction to direct others.
Passive or Non-assertive Behavior - ANSWER This is a behavior of a leader wherein
he/she feels self-pity, lacks self-worth, acts apologetically, easily dominated by others and
speaks hesitantly.
Aggressive Behavior - ANSWER This is a behavior of a leader wherein he/she talks loudly,
depreciates other's remarks, insensitive to feelings of others and has propensity to point a
finger.
