Heart failure:
Definition:

• This is a condition in which the heart is not able to pump enough blood to keep with the demands of

the body.




Symptoms:
dyspnea
Paroxysmalnocturnal
• Exertional dyspnoea, fatigue, orthopnoea, PND, fluid overload.




Signs:

• Ankle swelling, raised JVP, lung crepitations and ascites.
