Forcefulness of Love
The love between Romeo and Juliet causes them to defy their entire social world such as families ( family
feud ), friends ( Romeo abandons Mercutio and Benvolio to see Juliet ) and Ruler ( Romeo returns after
being banished to see Juliet. Romeo and Juliet’s love portrays the chaos and passion of being involve by
combining images of love, violence, death, religion and family that ends in tragedy.


Love as Cause of Violence
The theme of death and violence are always connected to passion ( hate or love ). The double sucidie is the
greatest expression of love that the two could ever make as their love was so profound they were willing
to end their lives in its defense.


The Individual Versus Society
The two battle against the social institutions of their times such as their family fight, along with getting
married and keeping to that promise in secret and even when Romeo was banished he was faced against
the law.
