1. Introduction
In this report, I am going to talk about the market segmentation, and why do
businesses and organisation use the market segmentation in the business. Also, I
will be writing about the five types of market segmentation analysis. Lastly, I will be
talking about the target audience for digital campaign of Gateway College.
2. Market segmentation analysis
Market segmentation analysis is the process of dividing your customer into the
smaller group, it knows as the segment or audience. This process involves identify
the segments based on geographic location, and other factors such as what people
are buying, brand loyalty, demographics such as age, gender, people income,
psychographic include (characterise, lifestyle countries, interest), price it based on
the customer and willingness to pay and time it based on the certain time or season,
for example, such as holiday. By understanding the segment, the company can
change the marketing, product, and other things as well to meet the certain needs
and want for each group for more effectively. This approach will improve the
customer satisfaction, it will lead to the market growth, such as increasing the market
profits with this segment. The market segmentation analysis can help the business to
understand the customer better and it allows to create more personalised marketing
strategies.
The businesses and organisation use the market segmentation to have better
understand and work out their various to the customer base; by making the
marketing into the smaller for easily manageable segments based on the certain
characteristics, they can also change their marketing to meet needs and preferences
for each group. This allows to approach to improve the customer satisfaction, this
allows company to make more profit from the market segmentation by using tight
way to the company. Furthermore, market segmentation allows company to create
more personalised and making marketing strategies more effectively this allows
them to have a competitive edge and provide better customer relationship with
customers.
