2. Go to Insert and select the arrow next to Object.
3. Select Text from File.
4. Locate the file that you want and then double-click it.

1a. Three domains of healthcare
There are 6 domains of healthcare quality that can influence value-based care. The three
that will be discussed here are Safe, Effective, and Timely. The way that safe influences value-
based care is by avoiding harm to the patients from care that is supposed to help them. This
would put patient outcomes first and not cause further health concerns. Any non-safe care would
cause further interventions to be needed and increase costs and decrease patient outcomes. The
way that effective would influence value-based care is similar. Effective is the service being
provided on scientific knowledge and evidence based practice. This is assuring that the service
would be beneficial for the individual and avoid waste if it is not beneficial for the individual.
The last domain being discussed is timely. Timely is regarding the reduction of wait times and
harmful delays in care. This could be demonstrated by waiting on someone in the ER with chest
pain. If not treated in a timely manner, the damage could be catastrophic and cause more
procedures, medications, and testing to be done. This would be detrimental to the patient’s
outcome and increase costs to treat substantially.
