1.1 Leerdoelen NEURO
• De student gebruikt correct neurologisch vakjargon (Nederlands & Latijn) op figuren.
• De student benoemt en linkt de bouw en werking van het zenuwstelsel.
• De student stelt de reisweg van een partikel of zenuwprikkel zelf samen of selecteert en
ordent structuren van de reisweg.

1.2 Algemene begrippen – vakjargon
Neuro → neuron = zenuwcel

Cellen (cytos → cytologie = celleer)

Weefsels = meerdere cellen samen (histologie = weefselleer)

Logos = de leer, studie

Hersenwetenschappen:
• Snel groeiende wetenschap
• Omvat een enorm studiegebied:
1) Moleculen & cellen van het zenuwstelsel
2) De relatie tussen hersenwerking & gedrag van mensen
3) Oorzaken & behandeling van hersenaandoeningen

Anatomie = de biologische studie van de morfologie of bouw van organismen.

Neuroanatomie = studie van bouw van het zenuwstelsel.

Neurofysiologie = studie van de werking of functie (levensprocessen).

Neurologie = studie van afwijkingen van de bouw & werking.

1.3 Hiërarchie van het menselijk lichaam
1) Cel (kleinste bouwsteen, functionele eenheid) Zenuwcel (neuron)
Verschillende cellen: (met celkern)
o Platte cellen
o Vierkante blokjes
o Rechthoekjes
o Cilindervormige cellen + evt. haartjes aan oppervlak.
o Zenuwcel

2) Weefsel Zenuwweefsel
(verzameling van gespecialiseerde cellen met gemeenschappelijke functie)

Een weefsel bestaat uit 3 componenten:
1. Cellen
2. Intercellulaire substantie
3. Weefselvocht

De 4 basis weefsels:
1. Dekweefsel = epitheel (huid) → bedekken, beschermen.
2. Bindweefsel (pees) → verbindende structuur.
