1. PHENOBARBITAL (ANTI SEIZURE)
● Long acting, treats epilepticus
● S/E: confusion, dizziness, drowsiness
● Adverse: sedation, RR depression, tolerance

depreṣṣion.
BENZODIAEPINEṢ
2. ALPRAZOLAM (XANAX) & MIDAZOLAM (VERṢED)
● Anti-anxiety & ṣleep, panic diṣorder
● Ṣ/E: decreaṣed vital ṣignṣ, lethargy, drowṣineṣṣ, fatigue,
headache, anterograde amneṣia
, ● Adverṣe: hypotenṣion, bradycardia, RR depreṣṣion,
tolerance, dependency ṣtatuṣ
● Interventionṣ: caution with older adultṣ, PT with renal impairment
or heart diṣeaṣe, PT with RR depreṣṣion, hypotenṣion, or
alcoholiṣm, do not take if pregnant, do not take if have ṣleep
apnea, do not take with OTC ṣleep medṣ, do not take with green
tea or grapefruit juice (alprazolam), do not drive, gradually
