AFT2 Accreditation Audit Case Study - Task 1 Accreditation Audit Accreditation Audit Case Study - Task 1 Joint Commission conducted a survey last week of Nightengale Hospital’s compliance regarding Information Management policies and protocols. During the survey auditors have identified non-compliance within the following areas:  Use of Standardized Terminology, definitions, abbreviations, acronyms, symbols, and dose designations.  Components of a Complete Medical Record are defined, documented, and dated buy medical staff.  Ongoing audits of Medical Records to demonstrate compliance  Medical Staff bylaws and policies are not unilaterally amended. Policies, bylaws and regulatory requirements are appropriately aligned. The grid below lists the area reviewed by Joint Commission and Nightengale Hospital’s compliance regarding reviewed area, if non-compliant, the plan for compliance and justification of why it is important to comply with Joint Commission requirements.
