SGM2 – Task 3: Mockup
A. Context for Instructional Problem and Learner Population
Learning Objective
Students will be able to evaluate and apply appropriate tone (formal, informal, or mixed)
in email writing to different audiences, demonstrating clarity, respect, and appropriateness based
on audience and purpose.
Storyboard
This mockup is based on the storyboard that was submitted during Task 2. The
storyboard described a 6th-grade digital literacy module based on real-life examples of
communication (e.g., texting vs. emailing a teacher) (Baroudi et al., 2025). All screens of the
mockup are situated on the particular scene of the storyboard and are aligned to the learning
objective, forming a gradual development of students' awareness of the tone used in various
situations and the skill of tone as a conversational strategy.
