I, Maks Diesel, an adult male of 38 years, residing at 42 Maple Street, Pretoria,
the owner of Diesel’s Auto Garage, and employed as a motor mechanic, hereby
tender this plea explanation through my duly appointed legal representative.
2. Nature of plea
I plead NOT GUILTY to the charge of assault with intent to do grievous bodily
harm (count 1). This plea is tendered after having been informed of my rights
under the Criminal Procedure Act and the Constitution.¹
3. Preliminary remarks (legal effect of a plea explanation)
(a) I understand that a plea explanation is not an exhaustive statement of my
