Leren = een verandering in gedrag.

Leren = een relatief duurzame verandering in gedrag of mentale processen dat het gevolg is van ervaringen
in een omgeving.



Vormen van leren
Eenvoudige vormen van leren
 habituatie = leren om niet te reageren op de herhaalde aanbieding van een stimulus
o bv. Je koopt een huis naast een treinspoor. In het begin heb je spijt van je aankoop omdat je elk
kwartier een trein voorbij hoort razen. Je word er gek van. Jouw brein interpreteert na een
tijdje deze stimulus als onbelangrijk. Onze geest leert om niet meer om die stimulus te
reageren en er zelfs ook niet meer van bewust van te zijn.
 sensitisatie = leren om steeds sterker te reageren op de herhaalde aanbieding van een stimulus; hoe
vaker de stimulus wordt aangeboden, hoe gevoeliger de persoon ervoor wordt
o bv. Bij chronische pijn reageert het lichaam met pijn op een stimulus die normaal geen pijn
veroorzaakt (aanrakingen, bewegingen, …). Het lichaam heeft geleerd om op alle
onaangename prikkels te reageren met een pijnreactie.
