▪ Response to pain
▪ Imbalance of electrolytes
▪ Hyperthyroidism

▪ Shortness of breath
▪ Lightheadedness
▪ Rapid pulse rate
▪ Heart palpitations
▪ Chest pain
▪ Syncope

Give oxygen and monitor oxygen saturation
Monitor blood pressure and heart rate
Start IV if not already established
Notify MD
ACLS Protocol
Look for the cause of the sinus arrest and treat it
- Medication
- Electrolyte imbalance
- Natural deterioration of the cardiac system
May require artificial pacemaker for treatment if symptomatic
